These Are the Top 10 Labor Day Weekend Destinations for 2020

Labor Day is right around the corner, but it seems Americans already have their holiday weekends planned.

Travel company Tripit released a study that details the top Labor Day Weekend destinations for 2020. This information was gathered by looking at the number of Labor Day bookings for various locations.

The entire study details a list of 25 locations, which you can see here. We rounded up the top 10 to give you an idea of where most individuals plan to visit during the holiday weekend. Where will you travel?

1. Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas will almost completely reopen at the end of August, so that's just in time for Labor Day. Hotels, casinos, and most attractions will require you to wear a mask.

2. Denver, Colorado

Denver was actually the top Labor Day Weekend travel destination for 2019, though it has gone done one spot for 2020. Still, the city offers plenty of nature escapes to beat the crowds.

3. Orlando, Florida

The theme park capital of the world, Orlando is home to a number of exciting parks. From Disney World to Universal Studios, there is plenty to do in this city. Theme parks aren't completely reopened just yet and things are sure to look very different when you visit.

4. Chicago, Illinois

Chicago dropped two spots from last year's Labor Day hotspots. Exploring the Windy City in September offers cooler temperatures than the heat of summer, which is always a plus.

5. Seattle, Washington

Seattle jumped up quite a few spots, coming in at number five this year. Last year, they were ranked as the ninth top Labor Day Weekend location. There currently aren't any travel restrictions in place for this city, so no 14-day quarantine here.

6. Phoenix, Arizona

Arizona isn't doing too hot when it comes to handling their coronavirus cases. So if you want to take your chances, experience Phoenix. There are a ton of stunning hiking trails you can take that will get you away from people.

7. London, England

This surprised us, given international travel isn't something many Americans are partaking in. Americans aren't banned from London, though a weekend getaway might be out of the question, given you'll have to quarantine for 14 days after your arrival.

8. Los Angeles, California

California has become a bit of a hotspot for COVID-19, so visiting the city of stars might not be the best move. That said, there is no shortage of things to do and places to visit in L.A. And if you take all the necessary precautions, you should be fine.

9. Cancún, Mexico

Mexico also has plenty of coronavirus cases, though they reopened to tourists in June. A coronavirus test isn't required, nor is a 14-day quarantine for visitors.

10. Paris, France

Paris might be the most surprising on this list, given Americans currently aren't allowed to travel there for a vacation. But who says you can't experience your own Parisian vacation at home?
