LaGuardia Airport Received a Cinderella Makeover Travelers Are Sure to Love

Anyone who has flown out of or into New York's LaGuardia Airport knows how terrible it truly is. You hope to get in and out of there as quickly as possible.

But those sentiments are about to change.

Five years and $8 billion later, Governor Cuomo unveiled the new Terminal B at LaGuardia just last week. Now, the terminal's Arrivals and Departures Hall is open for public use.

The four-story building hosts airlines such as American Airlines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and Air Canada.

At the unveiling, Governor Cuomo spoke highly of the airport's makeover.

"The opening of the new Arrivals and Departures Hall at Terminal B is the biggest milestone to date in the transformation of LaGuardia Airport into a world-class transportation hub that is worthy of New York State," Governor Cuomo said in a press release. "As we continue to upgrade and modernize this airport for the 21st century, this new state-of-the-art hall will offer passengers a unique travel experience with new concessions, traveler amenities, and art installations by four of the world's leading artists, while increasing space for passengers to move more safely and efficiently during and after the COVID-19 pandemic."

From 17 new large bathrooms and an Artificial Intelligence-based baggage check to 75 individual check-in kiosks and 16 designated security lanes, those who fly out of LaGuardia's Terminal B are sure to more than appreciate the upgrade.
